1/4/2018: SUMMIT ESC and SST-8 CLOSED

Due to widespread school closings within Region 8, SST-8 will cancel today’s Special Education Forum session, scheduled for 8:30-10:30AM at the Summit ESC.  Although we will not be able to reschedule the entire Special Education Forum agenda, we will hold a make-up session on Tuesday January 9, 9-10:30 AM to review the new ETR and IEP forms with district special education leaders.  This session will be held at NEOnet (700 Graham Rd., Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221).  If you are already registered for Jan 4th Special Education Forum, you do not need to register for this event.  If you wish to add, change, or cancel a registration for the January 9th make-up session, please contact Maureen Cacioppo at [email protected]. 

About the 1/9/18 New Forms Session: The purpose of this 90-minute session is to review recent changes to Ohio’s ETR, IEP, and Progress Report forms.  Because these changes were fairly limited in scope, there will not be a formal training session for all users on how to complete each of the forms.  This session is aimed at LEA special education directors, coordinators, supervisors, and others in leadership roles who will train their own personnel in the form changes.  If you are unable to attend the January 9th session, please click here for online access to the new forms, and click here for universal support materials from ODE (narrated PowerPoint slides and transcripts), which provide basic guidance on the use of the ETR and IEP forms.
