2018 R.A. Horn Award Recipient

Joe began band classes in fifth grade because of natural love for music and has continued in band for 8 years. He marched in band through high school learning weekly formations for all the games with support from other band members. Joe participated in weekly summer band camps and competitions throughout Northeast Ohio. His junior year Joe traveled to Florida to participate in the Disney’s Young Musicians Program.  Joe’s senior year he was co-squad band leader in his trombone section and earned his Varsity letter in band.

Joe also participated in an inclusive after-school drama club, “Our Time to Shine” creating fall and spring productions. He has participated in The Ugly Duckling, More than Ella, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, Aladdin and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
