Description: Has K-12 literacy been determined a critical need for your district and/or building through the One Needs Assessment or State Report Card? As you plan for the 2020-2021 school year, moving forward with literacy in a systematic, systemic and intentional way, such as by developing a Local Literacy Plan, is beneficial for implementation, monitoring progress across the system, and ultimately, successful outcomes for students and adults. The R-TFI is a valuable tool to examine current practices and monitor progress toward a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).

Take the guess-work out of making decisions for literacy implementation and join us for this guided facilitation work session! Presenters will help consistently interpret the inventory questions to complete the elementary or secondary R-TFI.

Objectives:  Participants will:

* Understand the benefits of assessing a system, making planful decisions, and monitoring progress

*  Work collaboratively to examine their building’s current practices around literacy implementation

*   Learn the procedures for R-TFI completion to independently use the tool in future
