This series will focus on
utilizing effective PBIS practices in the classroom. Classroom practices that
will be discussed in-clude: active supervision, activity sequencing and choice,
opportunities to respond and task difficulty. In addition, connec-tions to
school-wide PBIS structures will be made. These connections will be made
through the illustration of the following classroom practices: developing
expectations, teaching classroom procedures and routines, encouraging expected
behavior and discouraging inappropriate behavior. Practices shared at this
professional development will help teachers strengthen be-havior management in
their classroom.
