This series will focus on utilizing effective PBIS practices in the classroom. Classroom practices that will be discussed include: active supervision, activity sequencing and choice, opportunities to respond and task difficulty. In addition, connections to school-wide PBIS structures will be made. These connections will be made through the illustration of the following classroom practices: developing expectations, teaching classroom procedures and routines, encouraging expected behavior and discouraging inappropriate behavior. Practices shared at this professional development will help teachers strengthen behavior management in their classroom. May 15 and May 16, 2018.
