District Team Dates: October 8, 2019, December 10, 2019 and March 3, 2020 (Site visits during February and March 2020). Registering for day 1, registers you for the 3-day training.
Series Benefits:
Receive transition focused training.
Ongoing support from SST 8 and series facilitators.
District team planning time.
Coordinated activities with adult service agencies.
Access to national & state evidence-based resources.
Feasible goals based on predictors for postschool success.
Teams should have 4-8 members.
All team members must commit to attending entire training
series. District teams should include an administrator, IS,
counselor, and transition specialist or TTW. Others
might include general or CTE educators, related
service, middle school personnel, paraprofessionals.
Participants will receive Certificates of Completion for contact hours.
Kent State credit will be available for purchase.
Trainings will run from 8:30-2:30 (with a 1 hour
lunch break) at Kent State or another Portage County location.
