Parent/Caregiver Behavior Workshop

This workshop will be presented by State Support Team Region 8 and Summit ESC in collaboration with the Autism Society of Greater Akron. This session is for parents, caregivers, providers, and educators of students with behavioral challenges with/without disabilities.
This session will include a free lunch and networking time with other parents.  Attend this workshop to:

  • Get tips and techniques for avoiding and de-escalating behaviors at home.
  • Learn how to take care of you to be the best for your loved one and develop your own self-care plan.
  • Understand how to implement positive behavior supports that can lead to long-term behavioral challenges.
  • Learn strategies to manage challenging behaviors during unstructured times at home like school breaks and holidays.
