Introducing Two New Outreach Centers Supporting Students with Disabilities

NEWS spelled in tiles

Over the past two years, there has been ongoing work to improve services and educational options for students with sensory disabilities throughout the state.  Whether a sensory loss is the primary or secondary disability, we need to ensure access to training and resources for educators and families.

The new Outreach Center for Deafness and Blindness and the Assistive Technology and Accessible Educational Materials Center were launched at this year's OCALICON, just before Thanksgiving.  The two centers' websites are below.  You can also find an introductory video in the middle of the first link's landing page.  SST-8 looks forward to partnering with these two centers to enhance our regional support for students with vision/hearing impairments and assistive technology needs. We will share more information about the work of these new centers in the coming weeks.
