The Regional Literacy Specialist position, developed by ODE, exists to provide targeted and intensive supports to a uniquely identified urban district. This specialized support aims to build district capacity for improving literacy outcomes for students with disabilities and/or any students struggling to become proficient readers, while working in close partnership with district leaders and developing an in-depth understanding of the district’s local context.
