Description:
Executive Function development is critical for success in school, work, and life. These are a set of brain processes that develop from birth through the lifespan. Executive Functions enable individuals to plan, organize, and manage their thoughts and actions leading to goal-directed behavior. These processes underly everything from social interactions and managing emotions to being able to get places on time, have what is needed for class, and independently engage with lessons and complete assignments. Join us to learn more about executive functions and what you can do to support students' development of these brain processes!
-Demonstrate familiarity with types of executive functioning (EF) 
-Recognize EF demands in common instructional activities
-Identify strategies for reducing EF demands and/or increasing EF skills
-Obtain resources for additional EF strategies and supports
