This Professional Development opportunity is for current co-teaching teams. Content will cover the why, what, and how of co-teaching. Teams will utilize a Co-teaching Team Development Inventory Tool to self-assess current practices and create goals. Participating teams will schedule an initial consultation and observation as well a follow-up consultation focusing upon a selected team goal area. Each participating co-teaching team must consist of an interventionist and a general educator.
In addition, the team’s building principal is critical to the success of the co-teaching partnership. Participation of each team’s principal in a 30-minute virtual consultation in January/February as well as a virtual follow-up in May is required.
