Description : Sessions include One on one private lessons (8 weeks), Small group lessons one-hour, consisting of no more than three riders (8 weeks), Unmounted sensory, half-hour (8 weeks).
BHA Riding Academy is a 501(c) (3) is a therapeutic riding program to enrich the lives of those with disabilities. They have created a Therapeutic riding program to meet the needs of adults and youth with physical and emotional disabilities. Therapeutic riding has a variety of physical benefits including muscle strengthening and core control, improved balance, hand and eye coordination. Therapeutic riding also has many unseen benefits such as, social and emotional growth. Interacting with horses, trainers, and volunteers gives students a sense of self control, and a sense of accomplishment that comes from their hard work and dedication. Julia Klarowski, lead instructor is a certified equestrian Special Olympics coach and currently pursuing PATH certification. Jenny Loveland, assistant instructor is currently pursuing both PATH and Special Olympics certifications.
