Description: One weekend each month, Camp Christopher opens its doors to provide the opportunity for relaxation, enriching activities, and friendship! Respite is offered to persons with developmental disabilities, ages 13 years and up. In the warm weather months, campers enjoy activities on the campgrounds, including swimming, fishing, hayrides, and campfires. In the colder months we have games, crafts, special guest visits, and holiday activities! Campers reside in rustic cabins with our staff during their weekend stay.
The ratio for the program is one staff person for every five campers in attendance. Due to the program’s activity schedule, participants must have basic personal care skills and be capable of demonstrating appropriate behavior.
