Additional Details
The  ESC of Medina County’s Summer Enrichment Program is designed for preschool through high school-age students who can benefit from a structured and relevant small group environment with a focus on building independence, social skill development, and positive behavior skill acquisition.  Our program is structured to provide students with opportunities to practice skills in a small group setting and then apply those skills outside the classroom.

Our preschool (Early Learners Academy) is designed to meet the needs of all individual learners by continuing to build on the skills acquired throughout the school year, with a focus on social-emotional development, functional, communication, and early learner readiness skills through play. Our elementary classrooms are classroom-based three days per week with additional activities on Thursdays to promote the generalization of skills acquired during the week. Our middle and high school classrooms have an added focus on transition-related activities and will provide students the opportunity to participate in community outings.  All classrooms will work on social-emotional development, self-regulation, communication, academic, and specific IEP goals as identified by the school team.  Our School-Age intensive needs classrooms focus on functional life skills, communication, and relationship building.

All classrooms are staffed with an intervention specialist and trained paraprofessionals or behavior technicians.  Speech therapy is available for those students who qualify, as well as occupational therapy provided in partnership with ABC Therapy.  A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will oversee the program and provide behavior support services.

Registration is due by April 28, 2023.  **Registration is for the entire 6-week session.  We cannot provide refunds or adjusted costs due to missed days/weeks.
