The OCCRRA System is used for SST8 Early Learning/School Readiness Workshop registrations. It is an online professional development tool for Ohio’s early childhood and afterschool professionals. It allows you to track experience, education, credentials and training necessary for Step Up to Quality (SUTQ).
Using OCCRRA to Register
All of the SST8 Early Learning/School Readiness Workshops are listed in OCCRRA (unless noted on our website). To register for an OCCRRA training, you will initially need to go to their website and create a profile. After creating a profile, you will be assigned an OPIN number which consists of eight digits. This will be used in registering for workshops.
Setting Up an OCCRRA Account
1. Go to https://occrra.org
2. At the top of the page, click Create Account
3. There you will be asked to enter your personal information, address, demographic (optional).
4. You will also be asked notification method (email or text message). This is important if there is a change in location, cancellation, or special instructions for a particular workshop.
5. You will also be asked to create your sign-in credentials—user name and password. An email will be sent to the email you entered. Follow the prompt to verify your email. An Ohio Professional Identification Number or OPIN will be assigned. An OPIN consists of eight digits unique to each Professional in the Registry. Please keep this with your user name and password.
Registering For an Event In OCCRRA
After you have set up an account in OCCRRA, you can search events offered by SST8. They will be listed by date and title. Workshop series are all listed under the first date of the series. Once you are registered for the first day, your name will appear for the subsequent days of the series.
