Description: Sum Fun provides campers fun, new, and unique opportunities in an outdoor setting! Sum Fun is a multi-week program that runs throughout the summer for children ages 5-21 who qualify for services through their local county board of developmental disabilities. This program helps children learn new skills, including confidence and socialization.  Campers engage in many exciting activities including swimming, hiking, crafts, challenge course, archery, and horse-back riding. Our group activities, such as the carnival and dance, allow campers to develop friendships with peers and a sense of competence.
Campers must be able to operate on a ratio of one staff to five campers. This requires a level of independence with activities of daily living, ability to stay with the group, and non-aggressive behaviors. Assistance with funding for this program may be available, including individual assistance, assistance through the local county board of developmental disabilities, and the Medicaid Waiver.
